Rumors Nikon D500, D800 and D4

It has been for a while that these rumors goes around..but I am certainly sure that Nikon will continue the march to expand their DSLR’s in the market.

The replacement of the success D300 series will be D500. Tentatively named Nikon D500 this is a 1.5x crop factor, pro/enthusiast spec camera with weather sealing, liveview, built-in flash and video mode.

The Nikon D500 seems to land at 15.5 megapixels (perhaps not sony?). The Video capabilities are still 24 fps but with the added benefit of full manual control over exposure. (related news )

The next generation of D700 will be D800…even that they just confirmed D700x.

And finally..D4 will replace D3 generation. What a machine it will be..perhaps medium format?? who knows!!!

Let us wait and see then

NIKON D3S..Super Night Vision DSLR!!

What can I say folks..after D3, D3X..now D3S will allows you to shoot with 6 digit ISO…102,400. The first Night Vision DSLR with 720p video recording just like D300S. D3S is full frame DSLR with big pixels equal greater ISO capabilities. This Camera will deliver the pinnacle of image quality, dynamic range, phenomenal tonal gradation and outstanding color, other aspects were engineered to add versatility through broader low-noise ISO sensitivity. Absolutely no other Nikon camera has yet to achieve, with a higher signal-to-noise ratio and an unmatched dynamic range for both stills and HD video throughout its broadened ISO range.

Nikon adds in D3S extra benefit of an Image Sensor Cleaning function to reduce instances of image degradation resulting from dust accumulation on the optical low pass filter (OLPF) in front of the image sensor. The OLPF oscillates at four specific frequencies to release particles that would disrupt image quality. Just like at D300 the sensor Cleaning can be set by the user to cycle automatically when the camera is powered on, turned off, or on demand.

Full aperture control from a wide f/1.4 to f/16, as the FX-format sensor renders low-noise movie clips with outstanding clarity, aided by the large selection of renowned NIKKOR lenses to produce a dramatic depth of field. The exclusive 3D Color Matrix Metering II assists in ensuring accurate exposures, even in the most challenging lighting conditions. Instantly evaluating each scene before capture, input data from the system’s sensor is automatically referenced against an internal database of more than 30,000 images derived from actual photographs to calculate correct exposure values.

The Nikon D3S digital SLR is scheduled to be available at Nikon Authorized dealers beginning in late November 2009 at an estimated selling price of $5,199.95.

My BnW Adventure with Nikon D300

Just had this passion for a while..but still got no time for it.
Anyhow I was so excited to produce monochrome images with my D300
using 50mm and 24mm Nikkor Manual lens, old fashion of course,
but kinda love the result.

Well I made adjustment on the standard setting in the cam it self..
especially on the contrast and brightness.

Of course depends on the purpose of the image
and so far I can say that I am happy and could get
what I want through out the cam.

Yep for sure D300 is a damn good camera! great job Nikon!
thanks for your time and enjoy it

The D700 defies simple descriptions

This cross-breeding of features and D3/D300 design elements has been a source of speculation for Nikonians in the D700 Users Group forum. As with all new camera announcements from Nikon, the first impulse is to “categorize” the new body.(original news)Also Check out Roberts Imaging thread

Nikonian Bill Ely (d50extreme) sums up his take on the positioning of the D700 with a simple comparison: “The D700 isn’t an upgrade from the D300. It’s a whole new camera. Something that many D300 users will want to use along as a second body or for people who want FX but not in the size of the D3. With a D300 and D700 you would have high ISO, long reach, wide angle FX capability, and two semi-pro bodies that share accessories. Nikon is just filling in the gaps between their models so there is a body for everyone. It could also be a great 2nd body for D3 users who want two cameras that are both FX but one which is smaller and lighter.
The D700 isn’t a replacement, it’s just a new camera Nikon made for people looking for FX in a semi-pro body.” Below is the specification of D700..

Batavia

Batavia is the old name of Jakarta during the Dutch Colonial occupation. As we all know that the Dutch occupied Indonesia for 350 years long.

This photograph was taken at the city harbor called Tanjung Perak. An old city harbor build by the Dutch Government. I try to edit it in the style of an old dutch oil painting, just to emphasize the character of the image by using Adobe Photoshop CS3.The Photograph itself using Nikon D200 with
AF-S-DX-VR-Zoom-NIKKOR-18-200mm-f/3.5-5.6G mm Nikkor VR Lens
. I will post the EXIF data later on. So up till then enjoy it and thanks for looking. Cheers!

Nikon D700 announced by Nikon Europe

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 1 July 2008 – Nikon Europe is pleased to announce the introduction of an all-new FX-format digital SLR: the 12.1 megapixel Nikon D700, designed to enable many more photographers to enjoy the acclaimed image quality of the Nikon D3, but in a smaller form factor.
Perhaps the worst kept secret of any recent announcement Nikon has now officially revealed the compact, professional, twelve megapixel, full-frame (FX format) Nikon D700. From the outside the D700 is virtually identical to the D300, albeit for its larger ‘full frame’ viewfinder, internally it’s almost identical to the D3, except for a slightly slower shutter (five frames per second up to eight frames per second with the MB-D10 battery grip). By comparison it also includes several function improvements over the D3 including Image Sensor cleaning (’sensor shake’), more flexible ‘hard button’ programming, virtual horizon in Live View and different DX mode indication on the focusing screen. The D700 also becomes the first professional Nikon DSLR to sport a built-in flash. As far as competition is concerned the D700 really only faces the Canon EOS 5D (and any replacement that may be in the works). On sale in July for US$2999 or €2599 body only.(related news)
